Wildlife Land Trust / Sanctuaries / NSW / Lake Cabin

Christine Rand and Lindy-Jane Patterson are the owners of Lake Cabin, a property located in Coomba Park, approximately 100km south of Port Macquarie, New South Wales. The property is a residence as well as a dedicated wildlife sanctuary, and it is the owners’ intent to maintain it as a habitat for native species. The property is also registered with Land for Wildlife.

The property covers approximately 5 hectares and is comprised mainly of native bushland. Dry sclerophyll woodland and native grasslands dominate the landscape and two dams provide a water source for native species.

Wildlife known to inhabit the property includes sugar gliders (Petaurus breviceps), grey-headed flying-foxes (Pteropus poliocephalus), long-nosed bandicoots (Perameles nasuta) and black cockatoos (Calyptorhynchus spp.).
