Set on 25 acres of native bushland in the famous goldfields of Hargraves, NSW, Acacia Ridge Bush Camp is an ideal place for a relaxing retreat to nature. Explore the property’s bushwalking tracks for the chance to spot kangaroos, possums and friendly native birds or head to the nearby Daley Creek where you can try your luck with panning for gold.

Steve and Julie Hinchey are the owners and managers of Acacia Ridge Bush Camp,  which covers approximately 10.3 hectares and consists mainly of eucalypt woodland, although native grasslands cover around 2 hectares of the property. The property also features two dams. The major vegetative species present are eucalypts including box gums (Eucalyptus melliodora) and stringy barks (Eucalyptus obliqua).

Wildlife known to inhabit the sanctuary includes eastern grey kangaroos (Macropus giganteus), short-beaked echidnas (Tachyglossus aculeatus), common brushtail possums (Trichosurus vulpecula), eastern bearded dragons (Pogona barbata) and shingleback lizards (Tiliqua rugosa). A wide variety of native bird species are also found in the property including laughing kookaburras (Dacelo novaeguineae) and eastern rosellas (Platycercus eximius).
