Aliison Kelly is the owner of a property located approximately 20km north of Lismore. The property is a dedicated wildlife-friendly sanctuary as well as a residence. It is Aliison’s intent for the property to continue to be used for its current purposes with a focus on reforestation and habitat protection.
The sanctuary covers 2.47 hectares of mostly cleared land surrounded by eucalypts and transected by a creek and riparian vegetation corridor which provide vital habitat and water sources for local wildlife. Vegetation consists primarily of eucalypt forest and native grasslands.
Wildlife species known to inhabit the property include koalas (Phascolarctos cinereus), and a variety of bird and reptile species.
