Wildlife Land Trust / Sanctuaries / NSW / Blue Gums

Hayley and Kim Moeller are the owners of Blue Gums, a property located in Googong, approximately 20km south of Queanbeyan, New South Wales. The property is a dedicated wildlife sanctuary and a residence. It is Hayley and Kim’s intent for the property to continue in these purposes.

The sanctuary covers 9.3 hectares of native bushland comprising predominantly of eucalypt woodlands and native grasslands.

Wildlife species for which Blue Gums is known to provide habitat include eastern grey kangaroos (Macropus giganteus), bare-nosed wombats (Vombatus ursinus), short-beaked echidnas (Tachyglossus aculeatus), brushtail (Trichosurus vulpecula) and ringtail (Pseudocheirus peregrinus) possums, lizards, frogs, and many different birds including wedge-tailed eagles (Aquila audax), galahs (Eolophus roseicapilla), honeyeaters, wrens, parrots, ducks and cockatoos.
