Wildlife Land Trust / Sanctuaries / NSW / Tallowood Ridge

Robert Pritchard is the owner of Tallowood Ridge, a property located approximately 20km north west of Taree. The property is a residence and dedicated wildlife sanctuary, and it is Robert’s intent for it to continue to be managed for wildlife rehabilitation and tourism.

The sanctuary covers 34 rolling hectares with eucalypt woodlands being the dominant vegetation type. Located close to state forests, Tallowood Ridge hosts grassed paddocks and four dams that provide a water source for wildlife.

Wildlife known to occur on Tallowood Ridge include a variety of species such as swamp wallabies (Wallabia bicolor), snakes, lace monitors (Varanus varius) and numerous native birds.
