Description

The sanctuary covers 10 hectares, with remnant vegetation including blackbutt (Eucalyptus pilularis), turpentine, (Syncarpia glomulifera) and smooth-barked apple (Angophora costata) open forest with both a wet and dry understory. The property also features Sydney peppermint (Eucalyptus piperita) / red bloodwood (Corymbia gummifera) open forest, and a riparian zone of Sydney sandstone gully forest.

Wildlife species known to occur on the sanctuary include a wide range of birds, reptiles and mammals, with threatened examples being powerful owls (Ninox strenua), eastern false pipistrelles (Falsistrellus tasmaniensis), and grey-headed flying-foxes (Pteropus poliocephalus).
