Louise Freckelton and David Bray are the owners of Highfield Farm and Woodland, a property situated in Mt Adrah, approximately 70km east of Wagga Wagga, New South Wales. The property is a small-scale farm, dedicated conservation area and eco-friendly tourist accommodation, and it is Louise and David’s intent to maintain the property for these purposes. Two-thirds of Highfield Farm and Woodland are protected with a Conservation Agreement and the property is also registered with Land for Wildlife. Their accommodation – Kestrel nest EcoHut and their two tours are certified by Ecotourism Australia.

The property covers approximately 333 hectares, with 222 hectares protected in-perpetuity through a Conservation Agreement. This area is comprised of Box Gum Grassy Woodland, Carex Sedgelands and riparian areas. The remainder of the property consists of  native grasslands and is dedicated to regenerative grazing.

The property provides habitat for a wide range of wildlife including eastern grey kangaroos (Macropus giganteus), euros (Macropus robustus), swamp wallabies (Wallabia bicolor), bare-nosed wombats (Vombatus ursinus), squirrel (Petaurus norfolcensis) and feathertail (Acrobates pygmaeus) gliders and various antechinus species. In addition, 140 native bird species have been recorded on the property including hooded robins (Melanodryas cucullata) and critically endangered regent honeyeaters (Anthochaera phrygia).
