Joanne Green is the owner of Greenhaven, a property situated in Wanganui, approximately 30km northwest of Byron Bay, New South Wales. The property is a dedicated wildlife sanctuary also used for recreation and education, and Joanne wishes to maintain it for these purposes. The property is also registered with Land for Wildlife.

The property spans approximately 7.5 hectares of sloping, forested land interspersed with ephemeral creeks. Vegetation is largely comprised of subtropical rainforest and brushbox forest populated by tallowood (Eucalyptus microcorys) and red bloodwood (Corymbia gummifera).

A range of native species is present including koalas (Phascolarctos cinereus), pademelons (Thylogale spp.) and ringtail possums (Pseudocheirus peregrinus). Birdlife is abundant and includes Albert’s lyrebirds (Menura alberti), pale-yellow robins (Tregellasia capito) and brush turkeys (Alectura lathami).
