David Coyle is the owner of a property situated in Diamond Beach, approximately 20km north of Forster, New South Wales. The property is a home and dedicated wildlife sanctuary, and it is David’s intention to preserve the natural values and encourage biodiversity on the land.
The property spans approximately 1.4 hectares of coastal bushland mixed with rainforest communities. Vegetation is largely comprised of large, old-growth ironbark (Eucalyptus paniculata), tallowwood (Eucalyptus microcorys) and turpentine (Syncarpia glomulifera) stands. Although cleared around the residence, the rest of the property is densely vegetated with a well-developed understorey.
A wide range of wildlife is present including red-necked wallabies (Macropus rufogriseus), feathertail (Acrobates pygmaeus) and sugar gliders (Petaurus breviceps), lace monitors (Varanus varius) and a variety of native birds, lizards and snakes.
