A home and dedicated wildlife sanctuary
Description
Jane Bagley is the owner of a property located in Barraganyatti, approximately 70km north of Port Macquarie, New South Wales. The property is a home and dedicated wildlife sanctuary, and Jane intends to maintain the native bushland in the area whilst removing invasive weeds such as Lantana.
The property spans approximately 20 hectares, four of which is cleared with the rest comprised of native bushland. The property is bordered by forested land and is situated close to Clybucca Aboriginal Area, a protected nature reserve. Vegetation is predominately eucalypt woodland, and the property also features a seasonal creek.
A range of wildlife is found on the property including eastern grey kangaroos (Macropus giganteus), swamp wallabies (Wallabia bicolor), lace monitors (Varanus varius) and a wide array of native snakes and birds.
