Wildlife Land Trust / Sanctuaries / NSW / Possums Nest

Sharon Miskell is the owner of Possums Nest, a property situated in Jaspers Brush, approximately 20km north of Nowra, New South Wales. The property is a residence, recreation site and dedicated wildlife sanctuary. It is Sharon’s intention to regenerate the property and preserve it for the benefit of native wildlife and their habitat.

Possums Nest covers 2 hectares of formerly cleared dairy land, which has undergone revegetation for the past 30 years. The property is now comprised of temperate rainforest species grown from seed, providing habitat for a wide range of native animals.

Wildlife is abundant and includes bare-nosed wombats (Vombatus ursinus), swamp wallabies (Wallabia bicolor) and brushtail possums (Trichosurus vulpecula), as well as over a hundred native bird species.
