A residence, wildlife sanctuary and wildlife rehabilitation and release site

Description

Jenna Rumney is the owner of Mullumbimby, a property situated in Mowbray, approximately 10km south of Port Douglas. The property is a residence and wildlife-friendly sanctuary. Jenna also rescues and rehabilitates wildlife on Mullumbimby and releases appropriate species on to the property. She hopes to maintain the land for these uses while supporting native wildlife and their habitat.

An array of birdlife is also present including blue-winged kookaburras (Dacelo leachii), black butcher birds (Cracticus quoyi), willy wagtails (Rhipidura leucophrys), spangled drongos (Dicrurus bracteatus), olive-backed sunbirds (Cinnyris jugularis), rufous fantails (Rhipidura rufifrons), catbirds (Ailuroedus spp.), honeyeaters, friarbirds (Philemon spp.), rainbow lorikeets (Trichosurus moluccanus) and sulphur-crested cockatoos (Cacatua galerita).
