Wildlife Land Trust / Sanctuaries / QLD / Arabri

Chris Kauffmann is the owner of Arabri, a property located in Glass House Mountains, approximately 75km north of Brisbane, Queensland. The property is a dedicated wildlife sanctuary which is also used for recreation, and it is Chris’s intent for it to continue in these purposes for the foreseeable future.

Arabri covers 9 hectares consisting predominantly of natural bushland and featuring fruit trees, with eucalypt species being the dominant native vegetation type.  Examples of wildlife species known to occur on the sanctuary include eastern water dragons (Physignathus lesueurii), northern brown bandicoots (Isoodon macrourus), goannas (Varanus varius), koalas (Phascolarctos cinereus), water rats (Hydromys chrysogaster), native ducks, various snakes and a range of bird species.
