Come and stay at Daintree Siesta (formely known as Lync Haven)

Relax and immerse in the amazing UNESCO listed World Heritage Daintree Rainforest. Daintree Siesta is a space where you and your family can relax, unwind, connect with each other and nature while treading lightly in a peaceful and awe-inspiring environment.

Located in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest – the oldest continuous rainforest in the world. Guests at Daintree Siesta have access to exclusive rainforest walking tracks through the rainforest on-site. The property is able to cater to those who like camping or those who would prefer an air-conditioned room. Groups can also be accommodated. There is also restaurant on-site for your dining needs.

Daintree Siesta have a partnership with Daintree Life, a local revegetation and wildlife rescue organisation. They can offer a talk about Spectacled Flying Fox rescue upon request. Daintree Siesta also have a colony of spectacled flying foxes which live in the campground.

The Sanctuary

Tamara and Bruno are the owners of Daintree Siesta, a property located near Cape Tribulation and the Daintree National Park in Diwan, approximately 100km north-west of Cairns, Queensland. The property is partially developed for business as an eco-accommodation, in addition to being a dedicated sanctuary for native flora and fauna.

Daintree Siesta covers 8.09 hectares of tropical rainforest dominated by various palms (Arecaceae spp.) and ferns (Polypodiopsida spp.) Wildlife known to inhabit includes southern cassowaries (Casuarius casuarius), red-legged pademelons (Thylogale stigmatica), musky rat-kangaroos (Hypsiprymnodon moschatus) and tree kangaroos (Dendrolagus spp.). Also present are a wide array of bird species including double-eyed fig parrots (Cyclopsitta diophthalma) and noisy pittas (Pitta versicolor).
