Wildlife Land Trust / Sanctuaries / QLD / Stuart’s Refuge

Stuart Lloyd is the owner of a property situated in Japoonvale, approximately 30km southwest of Innisfail, Queensland. The property is used to produce fibre and fruit, and provides a wildlife corridor for endemic species through a riparian zone that runs along Liverpool Creek. Stuart has plans to nominate the Upper Liverpool Catchment area for River Rights with the Earth Law Centre, and is building a political Earth Law community in the area.

The property covers approximately 4 hectares and consists of scrubby native woodland between two arms of Japoon National Park. The property is situated on an escarpment edge on coastal plains, and features a riparian zone along Liverpool Creek.
