Andrea and William Branch are the owners of Y Ty Bach, a property situated in Bloomsbury, approximately 90km north of Mackay, Queensland. The property is a recreational site as well as a dedicated wildlife sanctuary and rehabilitation site. Andrea and William plan to continue using the land for these purposes, and plan to conserve the land’s natural values for the benefit of wildlife and their habitat. The property is additionally registered with Land for Wildlife.

The property spans 2.55 hectares of remnant forest comprised of eucalypt woodland transitioning into open melaleuca forest. The block backs onto an expansive native forest.

A range of native species are present on the block including brushtail (Trichosurus vulpecula) and ringtail (Pseudocheirus peregrinus) possums, short-beaked echidnas (Tachyglossus aculeatus), swamp (Wallabia bicolor) and red-necked (Macropus rufogriseus) wallabies and microbats. The property also provides habitat for an array of native birdlife.
