Wildlife Land Trust / Sanctuaries / VIC / Narnia

Glenda Dodd is the owner of Narnia, a property located approximately 15km west of Gisborne, Victoria.  The property is a home and dedicated wildlife sanctuary used for wildlife rehabilitation. Glenda is currently undertaking native plant and weed identification on Narnia with the intent to enhance biodiversity on the property.  The sanctuary also abuts onto the Wombat State Forest.

The sanctuary covers approximately 4.05 hectares, predominantly comprised of dry sclerophyll temperate forest featuring eucalypts, a middle storey of tea tree and various wattles, heath understorey and many native ground cover species.

Wildlife is abundant on the sanctuary, with species known to be present including swamp wallabies (Wallabia bicolor), eastern grey kangaroos (Macropus giganteus), koalas (Phascolarctos cinereus), short-beaked echidnas (Tachyglossus aculeatus), various native parrots and a wide variety of other native bird species.
