Jiuliana is a 40 hectare rural property owned by Buddy Kent and located in Merredin, approximately 250km East of Perth. The property was purchased with the intent of being a home and dedicated native wildlife sanctuary used for wildlife rehabilitation, as well as for agricultural use as a hobby farm. Buddy intends to improve the property as an environment for wildlife through the continued revegetation of native trees and shrubs, which he commenced in 2006.
As Buddy’s replanting efforts are still in their early days, there are no known occurrences of native mammals living on the property. Approximately 20 different species of birds have been recorded to this point.
