Come and stay overnight in our three bedroom rustic cottage surrounded by 85 acres of conservation. Awaken to the sounds of birds enjoying coffee on the deck in the morning sun. Explore the local Port Macquarie area or take a walk through the rainforest and settle in by the fire of an evening, a beautiful relaxing retreat.

Known wildlife inhabitants of Booyong include 26 frog species, more than 150 varieties of bird, at least 25 reptile species, a range of insect life, bandicoots, tiger quolls, koalas and various gliders. Rainforest species are extensive and over 20 native orchids can be found on the property.

Brett and Michelle Williams are the owners of Booyong, which covers 40 hectares of subtropical and dry rainforests, kangaroo grass (Themeda triandra) grassland, ironbark / gum / box forests, tallowood (Eucalyptus microcorys) / mahogany / gum forest and cabbage gum (Eucalyptus amplifolia) / grey gum (Eucalyptus punctata) forest. The property features rare plant species including mature red cedars (Toona ciliata), brush senna (Senna acclinis), clear milkvine (Marsdeniia longiloba), white-flowered wax plant (Cynanchum elegans), and Goodenia (Goodenia fordiana).

Known wildlife inhabitants of Boooyong include 4 macropod species, 26 frog species, more than 150 varieties of bird, at least 25 reptile species. Notable species include northern brown bandicoots (Isoodon macrourus), spotted-tailed quolls (Dasyurus maculatus), koalas (Phascolarctos cinereus) and various gliders.  Other rare species recorded include: green-thighed frogs (Litoria brevipalmata), great barred frogs (Mixophyes fasciolatus), southern angle-headed dragons (Hypsilurus spinipes); glossy black cockatoos (Calyptorhynchus lathami), masked (Tyto novaehollandiae), powerful (Ninox strenua) and sooty owls (Tyto tenebricosa) and yellow-bellied gliders (Petaurus australis).
